Leveling itself
by ever reveling in itself,
and still stunted, to this day, in its wisdom,
loses the sound of its overblown breath,
then chooses to stay, in every way, no less dumb
and refuses to lament its own death.
So many adults can take so much pride in something so immaterial, something that alone so truly does not affect them, and something that can so easily be taken away. Rejoicing in the death of a single man, instead of the end of fighting, is just celebrating the continuation of war.
I might as well go ahead and cop out here:
ReplyDeleteI do understand the feelings people can have about the death of a tyrant, be it out of a sense of justice, vengeance, or the avoidance of future loss of life. This was mainly an expression of how I felt after seeing the way SOME people on facebook explode in a kind of excessive, blind pride. You know how I mean? It just feels like a few people are taking it too far.
Anyway, it ain't no sex thang.
